Better than nothing

Staffing got back to me this morning about the pay cock-up, no proper explanation, as usual, it was an inputting error apparently. OK, so I'm still employed but you've decided to give me unpaid mat leave from the get-go. Nice. Anyway, the best Finance could do, supposedly, was put the money in my bank account on Tuesday morning, so that'll do. It's not urgent until the end of the month, but still. Nothing to really stop them doing it straight away apart from general uselessness. I've worked for several local authorities, and this lot really has the worst payroll system I've ever known. To boot, they are rubbish at fixing the mistakes they make. Incompetent.

Put on a pair of jeans this morning, they fit me pre-preg and now they fit me again. I still have a gut, before anyone hits me, but I think the only thing that gained weight when I was pg was the baby, I seem to be almost exactly the same, oh, except for the boobs.

Off to take Roisin out for a walk, and do some shopping now that I know we can afford to and we are not going to have to beat the credit cards to death.
