Thunder. Occasional distant rumbles. Some odd spatters of rain. And it's still very very warm and sultry. But now my clothes are damp on the line.

Oh, they're still out there! They might dry before it gets too late ;-) And if not, well, one of us will run them through the machine again if they are sodden.

Watch out! Its started off as "oh, this is only a shower, I might as well leave them" then all of a sudden rained *very* heavily here. I was dashing around bringing in the swing, the clothes, the cats, the bumbo and the groundsheet. The latter got so wet I just hung it on the line, it'll get a wash and dry overnight with any luck. There was two inches of water in the bottom of the bumbo by the time I got that in. We've got thunder and lightening here now. Lots and lots of it.

Too late!

It's been bucketing down here now, but I didn't notice until too late, I was watching an old episode of ER on DVD. Oh well, the clothes are well soaked now! Not to worry, it was light clothes anyway.

I think you mean "they've got a nice extra rinse"...
