The return of the puddles

...of cat pee. We were in the living room on Saturday and Squinky came in, trotted around, then hopped into R's car seat. Oh, I commented to D, look where she is, she's never gone in there before. He reached over to shoo her out - and then groaned. Not only had she been in a suspicious position, but she had urinated in the seat :( Another trip to the vet today was in order. It's been a fortnight since she had cystitis/UTI, which we thought had cleared up with antibiotics. At the vet's she produced a lovely large sample of urine, without any protein or blood. Samples going to the lab to check for crystals, but it looks like it's probably stress related. She's still looking very sorry for herself, but we have had to confine all the cats to the kitchen again. So even though she likes the baby, it could be that she is stressed because she was banished from her favourite room with her last infection, and even though it was only a couple of days, she wasn't too pleased.
Took R to the library today, she cried. Took her out for a walk, she fell asleep. Went back into the library, she cried. Gave up and came home. Just as well, really, i have a house full of books as it is :)
Did a little pottering in the garden, the rockery is coming along ok. Two dead fuchsias, but I never manage to keep them alive over winter so I expected nothing else. One very healthy rosemary bush, I usually don't have much luck with rosemary so that's good. Lots of life on most of my herbs, including an oregano I thought was dead. Lost an ajuga. Thriving clematis, the wisteria isn't doing much yet. Haven't been to the front yet, last time I looked some shit had pulled up the passionflower and torn it to bits :( That's the second passionflower we've lost, the last was stolen. There's still two clematis plants twined through the fence, but it's more exposed at the front so I doubt they'll be as advanced as the back garden.
Got a parcel from my brother N today, a little dress for R, a baby vest and a little summer suit. One white with embroidered flowers from Mexico, one bright yellow from his ship, and a pink vest from Cozumel. Glad it finally arrived, I thought it had got lost in the notoriously unreliable post.
Still haven't got a Tax Credit form from the Inland Revenue, rang up for it two weeks ago today. Huh. I woud do it online but it won't let me save the form using Mozilla or Firefox, and on principle I'm not using IE. Anyway, I'd rather do it at my leisure on paper.
